Job Purpose
Reporting to the program supervisor, the Inventory Technician role is responsible for ensuring that all warehouse processes and procedures are followed. Operating mainly at warehouse locations, covering the responsibilities as outlined below. Training will be provided in line with the specific requirements. This is a temporary role on a 2-3 month Fixed Term Contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, moving, locating and put away of all parts and consumables.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, participate in risk assessments and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Comply with customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adhere to good manufacturing practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas by implementing and adhering to housekeeping standards and promptly addressing any hazards to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
- Ensure accuracy in all material transactions while optimising the allocated storage space.
- Effective use of standard IT systems to support daily operations
- Conduct regular cycle counts to verify stock accuracy
Skills and Experience.
- Can communicate professionally with internal colleagues.
- Good attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A continuous improvement mindset that will seek to improve processes.
- Previous experience in inventory control, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Understanding of cleanroom protocols and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) is an advantage
- Proficient in standard IT systems.
- Full DL is preferred though not a mandatory requirement for this role
- Stacker and PPT training is preferred or the ability to undertake training
