Controlled Environments Company (CEC) is a leading industrial distributor supplying over 90,000 products to customers nationwide.
We ae looking for a candidate to work full time, 5 days per week, as our VMI support on a pharmaceutical site based in Limerick. The ideal candidate will have experience working in highly controlled, highly regulated and closely managed facilities, with robust quality and safety procedures.
Although working for CEC on site, it will be imperative that the candidate assimilates into the customers culture and working environment seamlessly. Our reach on site is and will continue to expand, so a positive, can do and long-term mindset will also be important.
You will work closely with the account manager and overall management team to develop knowledge of this growing site and to assist in our overall, long-term strategy.
Responsibilities
- Manage PPE & Production consumables on site – meet CEC deliveries to site, transfer of deliveries to our main stores area on site, and the subsequent stocking of all required points of use from there.
- In conjunction with our customer and CEC account manager, design and manage the most effective process flow of required products to their point of use locations throughout site.
- In conjunction with our customer and CEC account manager, continue to assess the VMI process, to scope opportunities for improvements in time efficiencies, in quality control and overall systems.
- CEC will use a technology-based stock level management system on site, however, the ideal candidate will attend production meetings (where applicable) and develop good relationships with key departments on site such as Purchasing, Production, Quality Control and Laboratories which will allow us to get ahead of any increased volume requirement of consumables and/or any process changes that may be expected.
- There will be an ongoing requirement on site for training, SOP updates and protocols/training for entering/exiting controlled areas on site. The ideal candidate will understand the requirement for same and would strictly adhere to the development of these requirements.
- All CEC stock on site and the accurate maintenance of stock levels will be your responsibility. It will be necessary to carry out monthly stock cycle counts to ensure accurate management of levels.

Skills and Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Ability to identify customer needs and provide a high level of customer service
- Experience within a GMP Manufacturing/warehouse environment with a good understanding of controlled environment protocols and supply chain procedures
- Confidence to discuss the benefits and features of products
- Confidence to identify, propose and communicate process improvements
- Good communication, organisational and administration skills
- Flexible and Pro-active attitude
- Ability to embrace new ideas / initiatives when they arise
- The ability to multitask and to ensure projects are carried out to a high standard
