Established in 1996, the company supports some of the world’s largest multinational manufacturers across the microelectronics, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, life science, and medical device industries.
Job Purpose:
The General Operative is responsible for ensuring that points of use locations, are consistently stocked with required parts and supplies. This role is integral to maintaining seamless customer operations, minimizing downtime, and supporting overall business productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver items to points of use (PoU) throughout the customer site ensuring stock is always available for end users.
- Deliver to both standard and smart locations such as industrial vending machines, interacting with the machine interface as required.
- Label and organize inventory items properly in storage and at points of use.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all stock locations.
- Goods Receiving to include checking, counting and organisation of stock.
- Picking and packing customer orders to agreed timeframes and order turnaround times.
- Stock checks and cycle counting of products in warehouse with pro-active approach to maintaining stock accuracy.
- Use digital tools and systems to log stock usage and replenishment data.
- Proactive approach to stock management and accuracy by monitoring trends in stock usage and provide recommendations to adjust minimum stock levels.
- Flexibility to perform other duties when assigned.
Skills & Experience:
- Flexible, reliable, hardworking with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to perform tasks that involve extensive walking and standing throughout the workday.
- Ability to use own initiative and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Accuracy, strong attention to detail.
- Previous experience using a stock control system such as SAP or a similar system is desirable.
- Cleanroom experience is desirable but not essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Previous Warehouse Management System experience is desirable.
